FDE Six Delivery Standards
Version 1.0
FDE.LI is an open practice standard and example library for FDE (forward deployed engineering), maintained by Yanhuang Epoch. It covers one thing only: how to do FDE well.
The six standards
- 3.1 Invisible Nobody learns a new system. It adapts to the habits and data flows people already have, inside the tools they already open, instead of becoming one more thing to log into.
- 3.2 Emergent Agents compose primitive capabilities freely to handle the long tail, rather than executing a handful of hard-coded flows that break on the first exception.
- 3.3 Fault-tolerant Small errors heal internally, and large ones degrade gracefully to a human. The system never bluffs its way through a situation it cannot handle.
- 3.4 Bounded Even running perfectly, an agent does only what it has been authorised to do, acting under a real identity. Data does not cross the walls it is not meant to cross.
- 3.5 Traceable Every decision carries its chain of reasoning, its sources and a rollback path. When something goes wrong, it can be located and accounted for.
- 3.6 Measurable We measure the baseline before we change anything, so that at the end we can show what moved, by how much, and whether it was worth the money.
The first two make the system useful, the middle two make it safe to run, and the last two make it possible to prove what it did.
About this site
Method lives on FDE.LI, running a one-person company lives on OPC.NG, and engagements are handled on the Yanhuang Epoch website. Each piece of content lives on one site only. This site collects no personal information, names no clients and quotes no prices.
