FDE
Short for forward deployed engineering: AI transformation built inside a company, project by project. Engineers move into the organisation, work next to its teams and build the system in place, against the real workflow rather than the one written in the process manual. Nothing of value leaves when the engagement ends, because the method is built into the system rather than delivered as a report.

Six delivery standards
The six standards every FDE engagement is held to: Invisible, Emergent, Fault-tolerant, Bounded, Traceable and Measurable. The first two make the system useful, the middle two make it safe to run, and the last two make it possible to prove what it did.

3.1 Invisible
Nobody learns a new system. It adapts to the habits and data flows people already have, inside the tools they already open, instead of becoming one more thing to log into.

3.2 Emergent
Agents compose primitive capabilities freely to handle the long tail, rather than executing a handful of hard-coded flows that break on the first exception.

3.3 Fault-tolerant
Small errors heal internally, and large ones degrade gracefully to a human. The system never bluffs its way through a situation it cannot handle.

3.4 Bounded
Even running perfectly, an agent does only what it has been authorised to do, acting under a real identity. Data does not cross the walls it is not meant to cross.

3.5 Traceable
Every decision carries its chain of reasoning, its sources and a rollback path. When something goes wrong, it can be located and accounted for.

3.6 Measurable
We measure the baseline before we change anything, so that at the end we can show what moved, by how much, and whether it was worth the money.

People follow the bottleneck
Redeployment comes first. We do not take on designs whose goal is to cut jobs, and we would not do them well.
